Podium Motorcycle Developments
As a young lad, I started out riding BMX, conquering jumps and making them bigger. By the age of 8, I started riding mini bikes, then racing them for fun from the age of 10. Eventually, the bikes got bigger, the jumps got bigger, the limits were being pushed and the love of motorbikes had well and truly begun.
With years of riding Moto-x and Enduro, in 1994 I bought a new Yamaha YZF 600R and went road racing. I soon signed up to ride for Yamaha Pitmans and within 6 months I had become a national A-Grade rider. I spent many years competing in the 600 Super Sport and 250 Grand Prix classes in Club, State, and the Australian national titles, with the odd Superbike ride.
In May 2008 while racing in the WA State Championship on board a Yamaha R6 Supersport at the Barbagallo Raceway, I came off the bike in a huge crash causing severe injuries. Whilst recovering from these injuries, I have spent my time studying and gaining additional qualifications with the goal of starting my own business.
I have always been a mechanic, completing my apprenticeship in a racing environment and have managed several motorcycle workshops.
I have completed the following qualifications to add to my Mechanical Trade:
Cert III in Computer Aided Drafting
Cert III in Engineering-Fabrication trade
Cert III of Motorsport
Cert IV of Motorsport
Diploma of Motorsport
I love what I do because I love bikes, customer service is a priority as is a fair price and professional workmanship.
